Privacy Policy

Timeblock Planner ("we", "our", "us") is an iPad app that lets you handwrite a digital planner. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

• Account information. When you register, we collect your name and email address. Your password is hashed and never stored in plain text.
• Page content. Everything you write in the app — handwritten ink strokes, recognized text from those strokes, and per-page metadata — is sent to our servers so that it syncs across your devices.
• Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, request paths, timestamps) for security and operational purposes.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide the core app functionality (sync, search, multi-device access).
• To authenticate you and protect your account.
• To send transactional emails (password resets, important account notices).

We do not sell your data. We do not use it to train any machine-learning model. We do not show you ads.

Where Your Data Lives

Your account information and page metadata are stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on DigitalOcean. Your handwritten ink content is stored as encrypted blobs in DigitalOcean Spaces. Both are encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.

Handwriting Recognition

Handwriting recognition runs on your device using Apple's built-in Vision framework. The recognized text is sent to our server alongside your ink so it can power search. We do not use any third-party AI services.

Email

Transactional emails are sent through Brevo (Sendinblue). Your email address is shared with Brevo only for the purpose of delivering messages we send to you.

Your Rights

• Access & export. You can read all of your content in the app at any time.
• Deletion. You can delete your account from inside the app (Account menu → Delete Account). Deletion permanently removes your user record, all your pages, and all ink blobs from our servers.
• Questions. Email us at [email protected] with any privacy questions or requests.

Children

Timeblock Planner is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify you in-app or by email when appropriate.
